Biography

Hannah received her 1st Class BSc in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham. She moved to Paris to pursue a 2-year MSc in Chemistry, awarded with distinction, graduating from the Université Paris Sciences & Lettres, mainly studying at the constituent schools: École Normale Supérieure, Collège de France, ESPCI, and Chimie ParisTech. She completed her Master’s 1 (M1) internship at ESPCI under the supervision of Professor Jérôme Bibette, where she worked on the development of Appoloian Emulsions. During her second year, she conducted a 6-month placement under the instruction of Dr Marcel Hollenstein in the lab of Inorganic Chemistry of Nucleic Acids at Institut Pasteur (Paris), with Roche sponsorship. The project concerned the novel synthesis of GalNAc-conjugated ssRNA and ssDNA, having practical use as delivery agents for oligonucleotide therapeutics in hepatic diseases.

Outside the lab, Hannah is an avid runner, reader, and skier.
