Biography
Alex received his MSci degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Glasgow in 2023. During his undergraduate degree, he was awarded a competitively funded research scholarship by the EPSRC, wherein he synthesised luminescent polymer-lanthanide nanoparticles for applications in deep tissue imaging. Immediately afterwards, Alex completed a year-long industrial research placement with Bayer AG in Germany, focusing on the synthesis of pesticides in a hit-to-lead project.
